Ron Parsons joined a botanical tour of northwest Sichuan with the late slipper orchid expert Holger Perner and his wife Wenqing. The tour focused on seeing some of the native Cypripedium species (the circumpolar genus of mostly temperate slipper orchids), and there were also numerous other orchids as well as lovely Primula, Paeonia, Gentiana, Deutzia, Arisaema, Meconopsis . This talk features not just the beautiful flowers of the region but the fantastic scenery.
