Palm trees are iconic. Jason goes beyond the palm as icon in his recent book, Designing with Palms (Timber Press, 2018), demonstrating the diversity of palms – trees, shrubs, vines, bamboo-like clumps, and stemless understory plants, using beautiful photos taken by Caitlin Atkinson.
Jason is the staff horticulturist at Flora Grubb Gardens and East West Trees in San Francisco.
