As rules about meeting in-person shift we have resumed meeting at the SF County Fair Building and we are also continuing to live stream the Featured presentation..

The Zoom app is free to download and free for you, as a meeting participant, to use. And our own Seán O’Hara has made some Zoom backgrounds that you can download here.

Download the software well in advance before the meeting:

  • (either Mac or Windows): Click on “Zoom Client for Meetings”
    
• iPad or iPhone:
  • Scroll down to Zoom Mobile Apps and click “Download in App Store”

• Android mobile device:
  • Scroll down to Zoom Mobile Apps and click “Download in Google Play”

We highly recommend you plan to join on a tablet, laptop, or desktop, rather than a mobile phone if possible. 

If you download the app in advance and practice joining and creating meetings with friends and family well in advance, you’ll be all ready to participate in a larger event.

In the week before the meeting you will receive an email invitation with a link to join the meeting. The invitation will look something like this:.

The invitation includes phone numbers that can be used if you want to attend the meeting by phone (audio only).

There is a Meeting ID and a Password which you should not need for this meeting, but if the application asks you for it this is where you will find it.

On the day of the meeting simply click on the “Join Zoom Meeting” link provided in the email. The Zoom app should open automatically. If prompted you should indicate that you want to join the meeting using Computer Video and Computer Audio.

We recommend you join 10 or 15 minutes before the meeting start time to make sure your settings are as you want them and working.
