Mike Boss, founder of Rock & Rose Landscapes in San Francisco and current owner of Sonoma Horticultural Nursery, re-named Hidden Forest Nursery, will discuss the history and future plans of this remarkable and significant place, which sits in a botanical reserve with many rare and spectacular trees. He will also discuss some of the rare plants of the forest—Chinese Swamp Cypress (Glyptostrobus pencilis), Silver Tree Fern (Cyathea dealbata), and Wollemi Pine (Wollemia nobilis)—along with his own history and the career that serendipitous path that brought him to save this botanical treasure from the hands of a real estate developer.
