Sunday, April 16 • 10 a.m., Berkeley
Open to members of California Horticultural Society AND Western Hort
In case you missed the announcement during the March online meeting, or the teasers on our Facebook page, we are resuming our Coffee in the Garden event this month. Mark Delepine has been working with Judy Wong and others to get his Berkeley garden ready to welcome you and has lined up a trio of “bonus” gardens. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Ken Blackford, our speaker last October and again last month, is planning to join us. You may have an opportunity to say hello, thank him for his wonderful presentations and possibly sneak in a question.
For those who haven’t visited the Wave Garden in Point Richmond you really should see it before it changes hands or ceases to be a neighborhood tradition. You may be on your own as people may break off for lunch along the way but it really is okay to stroll in and explore this wonderful garden. Just avoid the smaller gated patio up next to the house. Finding it and parking can be tricky but I’ll be sending out addresses and helpful info to those who RSVP. Check it out here: https://www.gardenvisit.com/gardens/wave_garden
RSVPs must be sent to Mark Delepine, mdelepine@liacook.com, where you can also let me know if you’d like to share your garden for a Cal Hort Coffee in the Garden event.
