with Panayoti Kelaidis, Director of Public Outreach and Senior Curator, Denver Botanic Gardens, and President, North American Rock Garden Society
Monday, May 16, 2022
Panayoti Kelaidis is a plant explorer, tour leader, gardener, author, and public garden administrator. He has an online presence just about everywhere: Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and very likely many more—Panayoti is everywhere all the time! He helped create the successful Plant Select® plant introduction program for the Midwest & Rocky Mountains area. Panayoti received the Arthur Hoyt Scott Medal from the Scott Arboretum in 2000 and, in 2003, the Liberty Hyde Bailey award from the American Horticultural Society. These are two of the highest honors in American horticulture.
This month we will be meeting both in-person and via Zoom and Mr. Kelaidis will be joining us via Zoom. We WILL be offering our Walk in the SF Botanical Garden, Plant Sale, Plant Drawing and Door Prize. We WILL NOT offer a Plant Forum this month. Instead, Bart O’Brien will discuss the unique plants that will be included in the Plant Drawing.
This will be a joint meeting with Western Hort and the North American Rock Garden Society, Western Chapter. Check back for more details about this presentation and about our procedures for meeting in-person. Members will receive full details by email.
You can find videos of our speaker presentations plus the Plant Forum on our YouTube channel.
