California Horticultural Society presents a Colloquium on the Impact of Recent Weather Events: Sharing Experiences in Our Gardens with a panel of representatives from six Bay Area public gardens.

As atmospheric rivers flow over the Bay Area, we are dealing with excessive, sometimes driving rain, wind, and prolonged wet days in December and January. We will hear short presentations from representatives of six of the Bay Area’s formal gardens. We’ll see photos and some videos of the effects of the storms on the gardens and hear about some of the steps these gardens have taken and will take to mitigate problems from extreme weather events. We will also hear from some home gardeners about their challenges and approaches.

You can find videos of our speaker presentations plus the Plant Forum on our YouTube channel.
