Mediterranean Gardening International

The five mediterranean climate regions, shown above, are a mere 2% of the world’s total land area (only about 1% of the earth’s surface), occurring on the western edge of continents between 30°-45° latitude.

Mediterranean Gardening International (MGi) is a group of garden societies in mediterranean climate regions around the world, all focused on horticulture and gardening in this unique climate.

We share our newsletters and links to meetings and as well as access to trips and tours. If you are planning to travel to one of these areas you will find a ready welcome.

• Cape Horticultural Society, South Africa
• Mediterranean Gardening Association Portugal
• Mediterranean Gardening Chile
• Mediterranean Gardening France
• Mediterranean Gardening Margaret River, Western Australia
• Mediterranean Plants and Gardens, UK
• Oaxaca Xeriscape Association, Mexico (technically sub-tropical but their xeriscaping aligns with mediterranean drought tolerant systems)
